Our Beliefs at Life Fellowship

The Bible

The bible was written by man and inspired by God, and because the author himself is perfect, we believe the bible to be completely true, trustworthy, and infallible. It is the foundation by which all of our beliefs are founded.

God

There is only one true God. He is holy, He is perfect, and He is alive. He is gracious, He is loving, He is kind, and desires to have a real and lasting relationship with us. There is only one God, but He has revealed himself to us through the Holy Trinity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each of these is a representation of who God is and His relationship with us.

God the Father

Like a father, God cares for and loves his children. We were all made in His likeness, and he desires nothing more than for us to return back to him. His love for us is never-ending and never failing. There is no height or depth that can keep him from us, and he proved that by sending his son so that we might have salvation.

God the Son

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was sent as atonement for our sins. He was and is the perfect representation of love on earth. His death, where he bore our sins; his burial, where he laid for 3 days; and his resurrection, where he conquered sin and death; give us the opportunity to receive true life and salvation. It is only through the Son that we can get to the Father.

God the Holy Spirit

When Jesus parted from the earth he said he would send a helper, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers believers with the same power that filled Jesus on earth. He convicts us of sin and bestows the gifts of the spirit so that we may better serve the Father. Through the Holy Spirit, the Son and Father are exalted. He is our everyday guide and council.

Salvation

Salvation is available to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. It is not something that can be earned, but has been given to us freely and sacrificially, it is a choice each of us has to make for ourselves. Salvation is the culmination of believing, receiving, and obeying. There is no salvation apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Baptism

We believe in and follow the example set for us by Jesus himself that after salvation comes Water Baptism. Water Baptism is the outward and public profession of our faith in Jesus Christ. As per the symbolism, we have been washed clean, and made new.
